We’re delighted to welcome Sarra Hoy for our Women on Top evening event, hosted for the first time at the iconic Lyceum Theatre.
Sarra is a solicitor, founder and director of a neonatal research CIC, neonatal charity ambassador, long-time Samaritans volunteer and a mother of two. Her life has been devoted to listening, supporting others, and creating systems of care; and now, she’s walking her own path through extraordinary personal challenges.
In 2023, Sarra was diagnosed with aggressive multiple sclerosis, just weeks after her husband, Sir Chris Hoy, received a stage 4 cancer diagnosis. And yet, through it all, she continues to show up with clarity, resilience, and a deep commitment to living each day with intention.
This evening will be an open, honest conversation about how Sarra has held onto herself through it all; as a mother, as a leader, and as a woman who has always found strength in service. We’ll explore what it means to stay calm under pressure, keep perspective in life and business, and find threads of hope even in the most uncertain of times.
Whether you’re navigating change, building a business, or simply looking for some perspective and connection, this is a conversation you won’t want to miss.
This is Women on Top after hours, in one of Edinburgh’s most iconic theatres which creates and presents extraordinary theatre for the people of Edinburgh.
A portion of all ticket sales will be donated to Tour de 4, a new cycling initiative born from Sarra’s husband, Sir Chris Hoy’s, vision to change perceptions around Stage 4 cancer following his own diagnosis. The funds will be split equally between the following 5 cancer charities: Breast Cancer Now, Cancer Research UK, MacMillan, Maggies and Prostate Cancer UK.
The nitty gritty details - when, where, who, dress code?
- Where? We’re delighted to be hosting the event at Lyceum Theatre.
- Who? The event is open to everyone (that means paying members and non-members). We want our ‘Women on Top’ series to reach as many good eggs as possible.
- When? Wednesday 30th April 2025, 6pm-8pm
- Dress code? We’re a relaxed and friendly bunch, so there’s no dress code. Just be yourself!
