Did you know that nearly 30,000 children, young people, and adults are currently on waiting lists for mental health support? And that at least one in four adults will experience a mental health condition at some point this year? Mental health conditions are also the leading cause of disability in the UK.
According to the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE), people living with severe and prolonged mental illness face even more serious risks. On average, they may die 15 to 20 years earlier than the general population. Early intervention is key, particularly for those facing a first episode of psychosis. Offering comprehensive physical health assessments and providing access to psychological therapies can make a life-changing difference.
Today on World Mental Health Day, and every day, let’s work together to raise awareness, speak openly about mental health, and ensure that those in need find the right support. Whether it’s for yourself, a friend, or a family member, help is out there. Let’s remind each other that no one has to face these challenges alone.
Here, we’ve highlighted some egg partners to help guide you through difficult times.
