Explore Edinburgh’s Cocktail Scene and Enjoy Membership Discounts

Hi, I’m Becca. I’m visiting Edinburgh while I do my work experience at egg. Whilst I’m here, I’m hunting down the best summer cocktail bar in the city. Here are the top ones on my wish list right now, covering cute and cosy hidden gems to bigger bars where it looks like the party goes all night long!

Brewhemia

When I started my search for cocktail bars in Edinburgh, Brewhemia seemed to be everywhere! They’re most known for their large selection of beer along with their selection of alcoholic AND non-alcoholic cocktails! Fun fact: it’s Edinburgh’s largest bar and restaurant. If you’d consider yourself more of a beer drinker, Brewhemia should definitely be on your visit list! They have 12 copper tanks filled with a selection of unfiltered and unpasteurised beers. This is definitely on my hitlist for a visit this summer!

If you’re an egg member, you’ll get a 20% discount off your bill at Brewhemia!

The Broughton

Located in the heart of Edinburgh on Broughton Street (conveniently right next to the St James Quarter for some tipsy shopping), The Broughton serves perfectly poured pints, fine wines, and innovative cocktails. If that’s not enough, they also serve delicious food for all occasions!

Copper Blossom

Do you love a garden inspired aesthetic? Of course you do! Situated on George Street, Copper Blossom is a cocktail bar like no other. From lively nights out trying some of the best cocktails in the city, to a civilised brunch, you’re bound to have a memorable experience! They’ve also recently introduced the Copper Blossom Chest which gives you and your friends a chance to take part in a fun cocktail making experience! You won’t want to miss out on this one. This has got to be at the top of my list for my next summer cocktail destination!

Don’t forget, you can also get 20% off your bill when you’re an egg member.

The Raging Bull

This fun, quirky and wacky bar sits on Lothian Road. The Raging Bull is famous for its amazing espresso martini variations with 8 different styles! Of course they have other signature cocktails and mocktails as well as the espresso martinis. If you’re like me and have always wanted to make your own cocktail, bring a girlfriend along and go to The Raging Bull cocktail masterclass. Professional, award winning bartenders will guide you to make your very own cocktail.

The Botanist

Visiting The Botanist, you’re in for a treat with botanical cocktails, fine ales, a food menu and live music every weekend. Another one located right next to fan-favourite St James Quarter. Test out their signature cocktails, classic botany cocktails, a refreshing spritz or non-alcoholic cocktails. Whilst drinking these, you could treat yourself to a selection of some of The Botanist favourite foods.

Heads & Tales

Gin, gin and more gin! As you might’ve guessed, gin dominates the majority of the menu at Heads & Tales. Would you rather be a gin ‘traitor’? The bar has alternative alcoholic cocktails that don’t contain their signature gin. If you’re looking to be more hands-on, Heads & Tales have their own gin blending sessions! Bring along your friends and take part in a gin tasting (you’ll even get to blend your own bottle of Secret Garden gin to take home with you).

Take advantage of the 20% discount off your total bill when you’re an egg member!
