Renowned for their signature leopard and colourful lightning bolt printed clothing and accessories, purpose-led fashion brand Scamp & Dude is the ultimate in feel-good fashion.
But it’s the visionary founder, Jo Tutchener Sharp, previous MD of Beauty Seen PR, that’s truly inspiring. In the face of adversity, Jo launched Scamp & Dude after being separated from her children whilst undergoing and recovering from emergency brain surgery. It was this near-death experience, that made Jo determined to give back, create hope, comfort, and support for those in need.
“I wished I’d been able to give my children a Superhero to watch over them while we were apart and imagined a cuddly toy Superhero with a pocket on the back to hold a photo so they could have held me close,” Jo told Cavernoma Alliance UK. Adding, “I used this idea as a get-well goal and as soon as I was out of hospital I started looking into manufacturers and designs to create these Superhero Sleep Buddies so I could donate one to a child who loses a parent or is seriously ill themselves for everyone sold.”
Since launching Scamp & Dude in 2016, Jo has run an array of initiatives including the amazing #SuperScarfMission. For every bold and colourful Super Scarf sold, Scamp & Dude donate another to a woman starting chemo treatment across the UK.
Superhero Sleep Buddies, created to watch over kids and keep them safe, are also donated to children who have lost a parent or are seriously ill.
